Right here, legend. Marlie's Eatery is at 6a/2 Elizabeth Plaza, North Sydney NSW 2060, open Monday to Friday 10am to 3:30pm, serving Californian BBQ. The 16 hour bourbon barrel smoked brisket is the one everyone comes back for.

Does Marlie's do office catering, and what is the minimum?

Too right we do. Corporate catering is North Sydney, minimum 7 meals, and it is way better than soggy pizza or bland as hell sandwiches. If you are around Brookvale or the Northern Beaches we can look after you too, on-premises pickup only. Order through our catering page or call 0448 789 984 before 11am, and 24 hours notice is preferred, though if you are stuck we will try to make it happen anyway.

Where is Marlie's Depot and when is it open?

Marlie's Depot is at 2/11 Ada Avenue, Brookvale NSW 2100, out on the Northern Beaches. Lunch is Tuesday to Friday 10am to 2pm, dinner is Friday and Saturday from 6pm with the kitchen closing at 8:30pm, and the CaliBar keeps pouring margaritas until late.

Are there vegetarian or gluten free options?

Yep, and they are not an afterthought. Go the Ruby Lou, our smoky sesame maple tofu, or the Sweet Betty, Texan sweet potato and corn. Both vegetarian. We have gluten free options on some items too. Tell us when you order and we will look after you like the legends that you are.

Do you take bookings?

Marlie's Depot seats 50 and takes bookings online, so lock in your table for Friday or Saturday dinner from 6pm before the good spots go. Marlie's Eatery in North Sydney is a weekday lunch spot, Monday to Friday 10am to 3:30pm, so give us a bell on 0448 789 984 if you are bringing a crowd.

Do you do takeaway and delivery?

Both venues do takeaway, so you can grab it and go. Marlie's Eatery in North Sydney also does delivery and online ordering, Monday to Friday 10am to 3:30pm.

Howdy awesome people. Marlie’s is a Californian BBQ eatery, one in North Sydney and one in Brookvale. Here’s a little info about us, we won’t dribble on but if you’re interested, read on to get some idea of who the hell we are…

how California got into our BBQ

Both Jules and Mark are chefs and have worked their asses off within the food world for a long time. For the past 25 years Mark has worked with some top chefs and restaurants, also for a large corporate doing some sales and marketing stuff for the food service industry. Julie as a retail and development chef leading a culinary team and cooking up a storm for a huge global food business. She kicked butt in that job!

After driving around California in a big old truck in the US summer of 2015, we came across some inspiring stuff and that kick started the Marlie’s machine! Everything we cook still comes back to that trip. Californian eating, low and slow BBQ, big flavours, zero fuss.

We cook like a boss! One of our most popular menu items is the 16-hour American BBQ Texan bourbon barrel smoked brisket, smashed together with big bold flavours and fresh salad ingredients, then loaded in either a fresh crispy bun, Californian taco wrap, hawker salad or rice super bowl.

Everything is made fresh without compromise. Our fillings and sauces are crafted in house. When you rock into Marlie’s, you can catch our team chopping fresh ingredients in front of your face. Nothing premade out of a bag!
